Basic Definitions and Terms of the Agreement

Upon the interpretation and application of the present general Terms and Conditions, the used herein basic definitions and terms shall have the following meaning:

Competition: Zonal Spotlight Awards 2020.

Organizer: Event & Entertainment Management Association (EEMA).

Participant: Any physical or legal entity that has filled out a registration form for participation, available on the Website.

Website: The competition website allowing the participants to receive official information about the competition and to register for it online.

Content/Materials: : All content created, uploaded, added, submitted, or posted to the website or the online voting system, including, but not limited to text, video and audio materials, written posts and comments, photographs, images, graphics, URLs, etc. which are made accessible on or through the Website or the online voting system.

Partner companies: Those sponsors and organizations who support and follow the principles of the competition – transparent and honest judging process and credibility.

Online Registration

In order to register for the competition, the participants must complete the online registration form, available at the competition website.

The organizer reserves the right to not accept participants who have entered wrong, false or insufficient data. Participants who enter clearly and systematically false data shall be deleted from the system. In such cases, the agreement is automatically terminated.

There is no limit on the number of entries a company or service provider can enter in Spotlight Awards 2020.

The eligibility period is from 1st Jan 2019 – 31st Dec 2019 which means any event that has been done between the above-mentioned periods is only eligible for submission.

The submission is only made in English and only through the online submission system. The access to the submission would be provided on registration.

All the submission will be made public post the ceremony with details on votes and comments by every jury member for every entry. Spotlight Awards will always remain 100% transparent awards competition.

There is no limit on the number of entries a company or service provider can enter in Spotlight Awards 2020.

Participant’s Registration Fee and Payment

The registration fee for various EEMA and Non EEMA members is as quoted as below:

  • The entry fees per submission would be Free for all EEMA Members and Non-Members. Any other costs are to be covered by the recipient of the trophy.
  • Winner of the Awards would have to pay the cost of the trophy/ certificate and courier charges which will be Rs 5000/- inclusive of taxes.

GST charges apply for companies, registered in India without a valid GST number and when billing to an individual person.

The registration shall be considered valid only after confirmation of the submission of entry.

Cancellation & Refunds

The submission of entries to the awards in any category is complimentary and does not have any charges what so ever

For registrants who have submitted their entries prior to the COVID 19 lockdown can claim the refund only when their process of submission is completed.

Registrants who decide to withdraw, the prepaid submission fee would be forfeited.

The organizer reserves the right to postpone or cancel the competition. The organizer shall provide instructions for any changes in relation to the competition.

Every entrant registered at Zonal Spotlight Awards 2020 is automatically subscribed for the event newsletter. Entrants can opt-out at any time.

Modifications

In case the organizer has to change, adjust or merge categories due to insufficient entries or other circumstances that can violate the genuine judging process, they can do so before the voting process is launched and after notifying the participants by email. An alternative shall be provided, and no refunds will be issued.

Jury

It is strictly forbidden for participants to attempt to influence or offend the jury before, during or after the event. Such cases lead to disqualification, annulment of given awards and prohibition for participation at future editions of the event.

Liability Limitation

The organizer bears no liability for any indirect or consequential losses that occurred as a result of the participant’s participation in the competition.

In case of termination of the agreement due to various reasons, the organizer shall bear no liability for any damages caused to or benefits forgone on behalf of the participant or third parties occurred as a result of the cancellation of the participant’s registration.

The organizer shall not be responsible for refunding the amounts already paid by the participant in case of occurrence of force majeure circumstances, such as earthquake, natural calamities, war, threat of a terrorist act, and other circumstances due to reasons beyond the control of the organizer.

Changes to the General Terms & Conditions

The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the present General Terms and Conditions at any time, publishing in a timely manner such changes on the Website.

Relations between the organizer and the holder of the registration shall be settled and interpreted exclusively in accordance with the legislation of the Jurisdiction of Delhi. The present General Terms and Conditions are accepted by decision on 1st Jan 2020 of the Management Board of "EEMA", in its capacity as an organizer of the event, and they become effective as of 15th Feb 2020.
